Continuing Resolution approved. Debt limit increased. Federal employees back to work. For now.
The CR lasts until mid-January 2014 at which point the US government will again face another shutdown. Congress set themselves a deadline of December 13 to reach a budget plan to avoid some of the upcoming sequester cuts. Unfortunately, Congress will be on recess much of the time between now and the end of the year. Chances are, we’ll be in for more theatrics in early January.
