On the five-point scale in our grant readiness assessment, organizations exceptional (5) at top leadership have:

• A CEO/Executive Director with at least ten years experience securing and successfully managing private and public grants;
• The CEO/Executive Director has successfully managed a minimum of two multi-year federal grants of at least $500,000 each within the past four years.
• The CEO/Executive Director has a working knowledge of the current federal grant management regulations and cost principles.
