On the five-point scale in our grant readiness assessment, organizations exceptional (5) at organizational history/background:

• Are at least seven years old;
• Have been operating full-time;
• Have clear lines of authority;
• Have a track record of program accomplishments; and
• Have operated a grant-funded program for at least four years.
