A grant application’s Executive Summary is a 1-2 page description of: (1) the problem you’re addressing along with a brief description of any data that documents the problem; (2) your proposed solution; (3) a brief statement about your organization’s background and its capacity to implement the grant; and (4) if appropriate, a summary of the funding you’re requesting along with any matching funds you’re providing. (Note: Some agencies don’t want to see any budget information in the executive summary. Read the application’s instructions.)
