Federal grant to fund mental health course for Missoula health care workers

COVID-19 is taking a toll on health care workers worldwide, physically and mentally.

On Thursday, Missoula County commissioners approved spending for an online mental health course for health care workers.

The funds come from a $2 million federal grant awarded to Montana in May that was to be spent on mental health resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant was split between several Montana counties and tribes. Each county or tribe received around $130,000. 10% of the money was required to go toward health care workers.
