Voices for Florida gets $500K federal grant to help victims of human trafficking

The Florida Center for Children and Youth of Tallahassee has received a nearly $500,000 federal grant to help victims of human and commercial sex trafficking with housing once they escape exploitation.

U.S. Attorney Larry Keefe of the Northern District of Florida announced the award Wednesday in a news release. The money is part of nearly $101 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Justice to combat human trafficking and provide services to victims.
