The Federal Register is a great place to look for grants that many people overlook—primarily because they don’t know it exists. In real simple terms, it’s a daily publication of all the federal government’s announcements and notices. Go to federalregister.gov, select the current issue or the date you want to review and then open your web browser’s find option—the option that allows you to search for text on a web page. The four key words you want to search are: grant, fund, award and application. By using those terms, you be able to find any grant that opened on that day without having to scroll down the entire page and possibly missing something.
