U.S. Department of Transportation awards CDOT $60M federal grant to improve stretch of I-70

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. — The Colorado Department of Transportation will receive $60.7 million in federal grants to make improvements along Interstate 70 in Eagle County.

U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao announced Thursday morning that the grants will help CDOT complete multiple safety projects between post 180 and 190 in the county.

These funds are part of the Department of Transportation’s Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) discretionary grant program. The program is investing $906 million in total across the country.
